Lead mechanical engineer – chassis structure, equip. &transport adapt; · Lead a defined area of technical expertise, with high technical complexity; · Lead mechanical design engineering in a technical team; · Have holist view on deliverables from other interfaces to secure quality before release; · Develop and share acquired competence providing technical advice; · Provide input in product and system roadmaps; · Develop and manage networking across the organization and provide inputs to the project pre-requisites based on the component history, as well as influencing the work in other sites; · Ensure the designs fulfill business targets, requirements and Project & Product Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature targets and report the same in project forums; · Document design change notices and structure components in product structure and PDM system; · Ensure component durability by requesting analysis and/or applicable tests. Requisitos: · Master of Science (equivalent to Mechanical Engineer Degree in Brazil); · Solid experience as Product Development Engineer in automotive solutions or Heavy Duty Truck Industry is required; · Solid Knowledge of Chassis components, mainly with Chassis Structure; · Creating or updating CAD Models and Part Drawings with CREO-Parametric knowledge is desired; · Knowledge of Volvo DVP is preferred; · Knowledge in application of Quality tools (Risk analysis, DFMEA, etc.); · Fluent in English, both written and spoken; · Show high interest in technology development, truck business and its applications; · Customer focus as well as quality and cost improvement mindset; · Curious, creative, open minded and communicative mindset; · Ability to work both independently, with cross functional teams and different stakeholders; · Eager to learn quickly when facing new problems, analyzing areas for improvements and quickly adapt to changes.
