Volvo is looking for a Senior Buyer to join the Purchasing area of the Truck Technology & Industrial (TTI) division, leading purchasing activities related to the North American region. What you will do: • Lead purchasing activities related to North America; • Manage and develop suppliers, including readiness, orders, risks, and costs; • Lead negotiations and support strategic purchasing decisions; • Manage crises and drive problem resolution; • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation; • Work in a global and multicultural environment, promoting collaboration across different areas and regions. What we are looking for: • Fluent English, both written and spoken; • Solid experience in purchasing and supplier management; • Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector; • Experience in crisis management; • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; • Strong business acumen and agility; • Team spirit and leadership capabilities; • Open-minded approach and continuous improvement mindset; • Experience working in multicultural environments; • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; • Willingness to travel occasionally.
